Graduated - May 2022 Supervisors: Dr. Rajiv Chopra and Dr. Davis Greenberg Projects: Developing an alternating magnetic field (AMF) device to enable non-invasive treatment of bacteria infected metallic implants in the body via surface induction heating and a potential to replace an intensive and costly surgical regime. Using 3D physics simulations to aid the design and predict the efficiency of the AMF coil under a range of parameters. Establish a mathematical model to predict bacterial reduction of an implant at different AMF exposure settings. Collaborating with Dr. Dustin William's group at University of Utah to perform AMF experiments in sheep tibial implants for the study under the startup - Solenic Medical, Inc. (www.solenic.com)
