Takako Hamaguchi

Von's globe-trotting experience started early on in his life. He would travel thousands of miles over the Pacific to see part of his family in Japan and go another several thousands to return his home in LA. His long-haul journeys continued into his adolescence when he decided to attend the University of Rochester in the east. In the course of his numerous travels, he came to appreciate the beauty of the nature and chose environmental studies as a concentration in his undergraduate education. After his graduation from Rochester and an environmentally focused AmeriCorps service year in Pennsylvania, Von went off on a two-year overseas assignment as a Peace Corps member to explore the part of the world where he did not get a chance to travel. Von plans to pursue higher education to build on his extensive overseas experience and seeks to establish a career in international management. I wish him all the best for his graduate studies in management and hope he will find even more opportunities to apply his inter-continental cross-cultural expertise in for-profit as well as non-profit settings.
