      I have based my Art teaching practice on design thinking and principles, structuring students' work process and maximizing educational outcomes through experiential, cross-curricular learning. I have provided my students with the technical and conceptual support in order for them to make informed decisions. I have also added a digital dimension to student work by running an after-school digital art and design club which opened new horizons for their artistic expression. During my practice at Beau Soleil I have developed and implemented a year 10 curriculum, catered to the high expectations of the international education system which stimulated critical thinking and offered the students a broad knowledge base both in the area of art history and current artistic practice, at the same time tackling pop culture and current affairs. I must mention that my lessons have had a strong motivational impact. Some of the students who initially showed a negative attitude towards the Art class have eventually developed a passion for the subject, subsequently choosing to study Higher Level Visual Art for their IB DP. I have also taught and assisted students in their International Baccalaureate Diploma Visual Arts projects, by using a similar teaching approach and my experience as a successful IB Visual Art graduate.
