A key feature of Prevent is using contextual machine learning to determine wrong recipients when composing/ forwarding/ replying to emails, making it one of the coolest pieces of tech I have ever had the pleasure contributing to. At Prevent’s core is an intelligent API, which handles hundreds of thousands of requests per second from customers around the globe and feeds information to and from various microservices and databases, before formulating an intelligent response and sending it back to the customer’s mail client - all within a matter of a couple hundred milliseconds (it’s pretty mind-blowing!). I actively contributed to the development and maintenance of this API daily, monitoring the back-end functionality and frequently investigating responses received by customers via Azure’s Application Insights. Since the start of my employment at Egress, I have been working 100% remotely, passing my probation period 3 months in advance and most recently achieving a promotion for my continued dedication and contribution to Prevent. To get the most out of asynchronous testing, I opted for the Mocha JavaScript test framework which utilised the Chai assertion library as well as Cucumber’s Gherkin syntax for executable test specifications. Automation was carried out hourly by a dozen Jenkins slaves I had set up with the help of a custom PowerShell script. This project was the focus of my work at Autodesk as it aided in the TDD and BDD of various BIM360 DOCS features, as well as the QA sign-off process, while the features progressed through the Development, QA, Staging and Production environments. I worked closely with and was responsible for the automation tests of various development teams around the globe including Shanghai, Tel Aviv, Boston and Sheffield. Another essential objective of this project was to deliver a form by which QA teams behind said features could view results of these tests in an informative way and in real time, thus providing them with relevant, detailed, up to date information on the status of their features, on any given environment. I achieved this by designing a web app based around the MEAN stack, utilising a RESTful API to fetch test result data generated by the automation tests. Additionally, I worked on the creation of a simple, custom HTML reporter to work alongside the Mocha testing framework which provided a visual representation of the automated test result data. Alongside this web application I also created a Slack application for the global Autodesk Slack team which allowed users to view the status of automation tests with a series of simple slash (/) commands. Other experience includes working on automated end-to-end testing of a React based application using Nightwatch.js and Mocha as well as Forge API testing alongside BIM360 DOCS Show less

Working towards the recognition of my brand, I have gained various links to the music industry including numerous large music labels such as Armada Music, Hospital Records, Monstercat and Indie Music Group. I also learned the importance of a customer-client based relationship by working with varied music artists and record labels from around the world. This project was placed on hold during my final year of university. In the future, I hope to collaborate with other major music labels and expand my services to create a music discovery platform for others to use under the Open Rhythm Network brand. Show less
