I got the chance to work with Vivian for when she came to Uruguay in 3Q19 to help us with some quality challenges that we were facing; the result was a pivot in our whole operation. This effort was part of an initiative through EY and Endeavor.org to focus on solving business challenges in organizations working on any of the UN SDGs. Vivian’s ability and approach to understanding our culture, personalities, and processes allowed her in a very short time to navigate through the company with a great sense of confidence; taking initiative and having ownership for assessing and then restructuring processes. Never losing her human touch while doing this and challenging us all along the way. I was consistently impressed by her project management abilities and communication skills, and really wished (and asked!) that she could have stayed to become part of our team. Her commitment with us through the EY Ripples program and dedication was so strong that even after the initial project ended, she has continued to volunteer her time helping me to lead some additional initiatives that are enabling me to focus and execute on the next phase of my business!

Over the last 15 months that I have known Vivian, we have worked together on a divestiture program, from the perspective of Information Technology. There are approximately 8 other cross functional teams supporting the effort, but our specific focus is around the shutdown of the infrastructure, websites, system applications, as well as supporting data needs for the program. Vivian has been in the role of project manager, helping me to lead a coordinated effort of activities between our core team members, which also include other EY consultants, both offshore and onshore. From the beginning, I noticed how quickly Vivian was able to come up to speed and lead. Due to the nature of our very complex divestiture program and the fact that she had no prior experience with the company she was supporting, this was very impressive. When I first joined the project, she was the one who facilitated the workshop to bring my colleagues and I up to speed on what had been done so far and what we needed to do to prepare for the next phase. Throughout the engagement, Vivian has continued this ability to quickly navigate different challenges and lead our team through them, demonstrating a high level of strategic thinking paired with efficient tactical execution. Outside of her skill and ability, I know that Vivian is personally dependable as I have witnessed this throughout our relationship. This is an important quality to me because I can always count on Vivian to do what she says she will do… not something always easy to find. Given our time together and all that Vivian has delivered for the program, I would highly recommend her for similar types of work in the future.
