  I work for World Waternet, a non-profit organization founded on the initiative of Waternet, the public water utility of Amsterdam. World Waternet improves the performance and capacities of public water organisations through peer-to-peer knowledge exchange on the complete water cycle. As Project Officer responsible for planning, reporting, proposal writing, monitoring & evaluation and support on project management. I conduct thematic research in the fields of e.g. climate adaptation, decentralized sanitation, excreta flow diagrams and social inclusion.

  As a National Watertrainee, I work for the department Research & Advice. I assist the programme management of the Climate Neutral 2020 Programme, (Klimaatneutraal 2020) of Waternet, which aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gases emission by minimising or compensating the amount of greenhouse gases released by 2020. I monitor and report on the progress of the programme, organise informative workshops and play an important part in communicating its activities internally with Waternet as well as externally. Moreover, within the Climate Neutral 2020 Programme, I am part of the project team that is dedicated to the large-scale implementation of solar energy on roofs and empty terrains of Waternet’s waste water treatment plants and drinking water production locations. Within this project, I am responsible for policy-making on citizen participation in our solar energy projects and the communication of its activities.
