Vivian is the best graphic designer and editor that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She's extremely knowledgeable of spelling and grammar, of course, and also design, style, fonts, and typesetting, not to mention Microsoft Word, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint, and of course her Apple Mac and Adobe products. Her proofreading skills are excellent, and she has been an invaluable asset to me as both a sounding board and quality control person as I authored over 25 tip sheets and quick reference guides that passed through her. Her greatest assets are her ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, and to provide excellent copy and advice without being too critical. Her cheery personality and fastidious yet relaxed approach to work make working with her a pleasure, so I recommend her highly and without any hesitation.

The University of Maryland is the flagship campus of the state’s higher educational system and a top-ranked public research institution. At the University of Maryland’s Office of International Affairs, I was responsible for producing a 16-page publication and a monthly e-newsletter, providing design services to support the communications and marketing initiatives of several offices, and managing the office’s branding, as well as maintaining the website. In this position, I was the project lead in the creation of a new global portal and the redesign of five existing department websites. I collaborated with vendors and each of the offices to create a design that showcased the international activities and opportunities across campus while also meeting the specific needs of each department. I was the lead in mapping the website, developing and publishing content in Drupal, and testing the functionality of the website. Show less

B'nai B'rith International is a Jewish humanitarian, human rights, and advocacy non-profit organization. Founded in 1843, B'nai B'rith has worked for Jewish unity, security, continuity, and tolerance. In this position, I conceptualized and designed publications, logos, brochures, posters, displays, and conference materials, to name a few. I also designed the quarterly magazine, B’nai B’rith Magazine. I was responsible for researching and selecting artwork, and I created illustrations or manipulated photos as needed. Overall, I maintained the look and design of the B’nai B’rith brand in coordination with the Art Director. I collaborated with photographers and printers, and I prepared files for press and review printer proofs. On top of my print work, I also updated the website. Show less
