As the Director of the Project Management team at EmpoderaClima, I manage the work of designing, planning and implementing gender and climate related projects alongside the Director and other team members; and help organize events and workshops around Global South Voices and raise political awareness towards climate and gender related themes. EmpoderaClima's main focus is a program and platform about Education on Gender Equality and Climate Action in the Global South.Snce April 2023, I also represent EmpoderaClima as one of the Co-Leads of the Education & Climate Justice Working Collective at Transform Education, a feminist coalition of youth-led networks and young activists.EmpoderaClima is a Brazil-based, youth-led initiative created to raise awareness of the disproportionate impacts of climate change that girls and women face in the Global South, as well as the need for women's leadership in climate action. Our work is focused on two main pillars:1 - A multilingual database, with both original and curated content that serve as a resource about gender and climate for everyone who usually doesn't have access to materials about climate justice in their native languages.2 - Leadership in global and national advocacy for gender-just climate action through partnerships with climate organizations and movements all over the globe, interventions at high-level events, and projects on climate education.
