 Project: Enhanced ion Homeostasis and its impact on saline tolerance in Rice: Over expression of two relevant vacuolar transporter genes NHX1 and AVP1  Findings: Developed single transgenics for NHX1 and AVP1 genes in rice, developed double transgenic by crossing single transgenic. Screened these single and double transgeincs for salt tolerance in lab and green house condition.
