Wafi Industrial consists of Phoenix, TCTI, Composites, Compass, Sea-Quest and Red Hot. These companies are engaged in manufacturing of concrete blocks, Insulated Panels, Truck-body’s Building for Cold Stores Vehicles, Pre Insulated Pipes, GRP & GRC Composite products and maintenance of swimming pools, water treatment, trading of swimming pool equipments etc. The products which we buy for the group majorly are Aluminium Coils, Chemicals, Consumables, Concrete Products, Insulation products etc. During my tenure of service in Wafi I moved the entire chemical product sourcing from trader to manufacturer both on local as well as import purchases. Wafi Industrial recognized me at the right time and accordingly promoted me from one company Purchase, Inventory and Logistics Manager to whole Wafi Industrial Group’s Purchase and Logistics Manager. Purchase of Raw Material (Billets), Chemicals, Consumables etc. and bringing the same through best shipping line/forwarder. • Raw material Purchase consists of Hedging of Metal, Forward Bookings, Back-to-Back Ordering and monthly stock order. • Handling of Import Letter of Credit. • Authorizing of all Export LC Documentation • Transportation of Aluminium Scrap to Dubai Aluminium (Dubal). • Handled full logistics operations of the company both imports and export by Sea, Air and Road. • Costing of import Bills. • Handling of Supplier accounts. • Preparation of import / export LC documents. • Pre auditing of Export LC documents to avoid discrepancies at the time of negotiating the documents. • Handled Payables. • Comparing clearing agents rate with other agents and appoint the most competent service provider. • Savings to Company via Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) • Implementation of Just in Time (JIT) to have better inventory control and better Net Billet Cost (NBC). • Using of Billet Truck to send Scrap to Dubal by paying half of the transport cost than before. • Sending scrap in 3 mtr. Length instead of 1 mtr. Saved huge money on volume, cutting expenses and man power etc. • Saved lots of money to company by introducing European supplier for extrusion equipments and spare part.
