Started this role in November 2017 with key task of building new Capital Works Delivery department, setting up a robust capital works planning and monitoring framework and managing delivery of substantial backlog of capital works program.In just 6 months, Successfully managed to recruit 13 new high performing professionals, set up a robust capital works monitoring and reporting system, and delivered around 85% of capital works program,both in terms of expenditure and number of projects delivered. This is a massive achievement and reflection of great team work and leadership, and compares very favourably with previous year program delivery and expenditure.In 2018/19, delivered another large capital works program around $34 million (93% delivery rate) whilst focussing on technical capacity building, continuous process improvements and overseeing functions of multiple teams.Additionally, I worked in number of leadership, governance and communication working groups to help build inclusive and supportive working culture at FCC to enable everyone achieve their full potential and developed new values - kinder, fairer and smarter.2019/20 was another successful year with exceptional achievement of 98% capital works program delivery. Program and Planning Delivery team - responsible for delivery of Council Annual Capital Works program ($35 million in FY 17/18), preparing external funding applications and coordination and review of Long Term Infrastructure Plan (10 Year Capital Works Program). Successfully delivered large capital works program of $33 million in FY16/17 and $38 million in FY15/16 with an overall project delivery rate of 97%.2. Infrastructure Planning and Growth - responsible for Subdivision Plan Checking & Supervision of infrastructure works (gifted assets valued at around $15 million annually) , Review of Planning Permit Applications, Legal Point of Discharge Applications, Build Over Easement Applications, Strategic Infrastructure Planning including planning and delivery of Development Contribution Plan (estimated around $300 million).Functions also includes provision of technical services in the area of Traffic, Drainage, Footpath, Traffic Management Plans, B-Double applications, Heavy Vehicle permit.3. Waste and Major Projects - responsible for management of service contracts for delivery of kerbside waste collection and disposal services, hard waste collection and disposal and management of Council's 4 Waste Transfer Stations.
