During the fall of 2016, I completed 510 hours of internship as a practicum student at Big Brothers Big Sisters through the University of Tennessee. I was responsible for many administrative duties as well as interacting with both active members of the program and candidates applying to be a part of the program. I conducted over-the-phone and in-home interviews/home assessments and evaluated eligibility of volunteers and children applying for various programs, participated in outreach events across East Tennessee, and organized and facilitated events and fundraisers benefiting those involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters.
