  The project developed, optimized, and evaluated innovative processes based on combined physical, chemical, and microbial processes for processing environmental liabilities and treating acid drains at the Milluni mine in the Department of La Paz. My work in the project was the characterization of biological parameters in samples of waste tailings and acid mine drains, establishment of Biomineria processes (Biolixiviation - Bio-oxidation) of minerals at laboratory scale, establishment of bioreactors for the bioleaching process. -bio-oxidation, combined with bioprecipitation and / or biotransformation processes, combination of biological (precipitation) and physicochemical (adsorption) techniques and processes for the removal of heavy metals and the determination of the efficiency of metals from metals through Spectroscopy of Atomic Absorption of flame.   One of the citrus fruits with the highest annual production in Bolivia is orange, one of its solid residues (the peel) constitutes an exquisite source of compounds of great industrial, biotechnological and medical interest. D-limonene is the main component of the essential oils of orange and its use is diverse in many areas, this compound gives it its characteristic odor; various studies have shown its antimicrobial activity and, on the other hand, as a substrate for biotransformation reactions. In this project I isolated Pseudomona spp. resistant to orange essential oils with potential in biotransformation. Show less
