  UNIQ+ Research Internship Graduate Access Scheme Project title: Improving antimicrobial susceptibility testing through the use of high-resolution microscopy Supervisor: Dr Nicole Stoesser My project is primarily focused on Klebsiella pneumoniae. Using a collection of different strains, I will analyse the effects of specific antibiotics at various concentrations and deduce the minimum inhibitory concentration of these. In addition, I will identify the physical changes these antibiotics create in the bacterium using fluorescence microscopy, and extrapolate the data for use in future production of a clinical diagnostic tool.
