I was fortunate to work with Vinko for nearly 7 years. Vinko’s knowledge of Linux runs deep, beyond knowing what command to run, he understands the intricacies of how the operating system works. He is able to create elegant solutions to complex problems and works well with senior technologists from other teams. His utilization of automation tools such as shell scripts, Ansible, and Terraform makes him an excellent DevOps engineer. Vinko is also a great mentor for junior engineers, he shows them the path to growing their knowledge rather than just providing the solution. His documentation skills allow others to take over the day-to-day management of his solutions so that he can move on to the next project. I’d welcome the opportunity to work with Vinko again.

I worked with Vinko for 7 and a half years and for the first year I was part of the help desk team. I expressed my desire to learn more about the cloud and Vinko was more than willing to teach me. He took the time to show me about the tools he used in his role as part of the infrastructure team. Once I graduated to becoming part of the Infrastructure team he really took me under his wing. He is very passionate with improving processes, doing things the industry-standard way, and I consider him a Linux Evangelist. He gave me a great foundation on Linux, and I know I could stand to learn much more from Vinko. He is a true stand-up employee. He's relentless when troubleshooting issues and always figures out the problem. Not only does he fix problems, he goes the extra mile to prevent them from happening again. His documentation skills are fantastic as well! I can go on and on, but in short, he is a great person, both as an individual and as a professional. I'm really going to miss working closely with him and know that he'll be an unbelievably valuable asset to ANY team he's a part of.
