Project Details: 1) Risk Management System (RMS) Client Name: Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) Project Description: Risk management System is the application of management policies, procedures and practice to the tasks of identifying, analyzing, assessing, treating and monitoring risk. It is a logical and systematic process which can be used when making decisions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of performance. This Risk Management System is for processing imports as well as exports consignments for identifying the risk. The Bill of Entry/ Shipping Bill or Import General Manifest (IGM) (document)/Export General Manifest (EGM) is filed into the ICES from the Service Centre (or remotely through ICEGATE). As soon as the document is filed, ICES would validate it and if found valid and correct, details are fetched from control table into RMS database for processing. This data is the main transactional input. RMS will fetch it and process it. Risk Management System would help in: • Eliminating time and resource wastage by facilitating accredited importers and concentrating on transactions involving high risk. • Fast tracking international trade transactions, thereby contributing to the national economy, and providing a sound basis for Customs decision-making to meet accountability requirements. Roles & Responsibilities: • Responsible for writing of complex Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Packages. • Responsible for creation of all database objects including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences. • Responsible for physical and logical backups (Import/Export) of database. • Responsible for fetching data from database as per client requirement. • Interacting with client for issues related to application, change requests, new requirements.
