I am a skilled, self motivated and enthusiastic experienced Hairdressing and Fashion photographic make-up Lecturer. At present I am Team Leader to Level 2 hairdressing at Greenwich community College.I have been teaching Hairdressing up to Level 3 and Make-up to a diverse range of students for over 20 years. I have good communication and people skills and have earned trust and respect from management, colleagues and students. I have During this time taught hairdressing at London College of fashion , Bexley College and Waltham forest college. I am a committed team player who specializes in colour correction and colour techniques in both Afro and European hair. I have run my own short programmes on Make up artistry and cut and blow dry, courses of which i wrote the program. Continually developing learning materials for levels 1,2 and 3 Hairdressing and for Fashion Photographic Make-up. I have developed effective tracking systems to monitor learners progress. I am an In ternal Verifier which involves maintaining continually high standards of assurance through out each qualification. I recieved a Grade 1 Outstanding 2 years in a row from my class observations. I still work in industry doing Photo shoots and have worked on videos and short films. I have written 14 written papers for Edexcel Btec on various European and Afro Hairdressing units and I also wrote the unit standards for 'The art of Fashion Photographic make-up which are still current.I have previously worked in Covershots International as a Make up Artist and Hair stylist where we prepared clients for photo shoots. I have contributed hairstyles to the book 'African-Caribbean Hairdressing' published by McMillan in 1998 written by Sandra Gittens and the second edition published 2002.
