We are a group of students from the University of Turin and the Polytechnic University of Turin, passionate about machine learning and artificial intelligence. We created a community where to share our ideas and our expertise, and carry out collaborative research in AI-related fields. I am actively engaged in two projects: ◦ MEDICAL-AI: We aim to develop AI solutions for medicine and neuroscience. We started evaluating the use of deep learning models and topological data analysis techniques for the analysis of EEG recordings. We participated in "BCI & Neurotechnology spring school 2021" and the "BR41N.IO Designers' Hackathon" organized by g.tec medical engineering GmbH. One of our teams won the hackathon and thanks to this and to a donation from NPO srl we were able to buy our EEG equipment. Using it we are now studying neurofeedback and lie detection. Since last summer we have started to collaborate with the "Neurotechtor Students Club" from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. ◦ SYMMETRIES: Our purpose is to investigate the role of symmetries in Geometric Deep Learning (GDL), Neurogeometry (NG) and Physics Informed Machine Learning (PIML). We would like to strengthen the connection between structurally imposed symmetries (GDL / NG) and physics-imposed symmetries (PIML) in a Noether theorem-like formalism. Show less

I have worked as a student researcher in the biochemistry laboratory of the University of Turin, where we have studied the role of Cytochromes P450 in malaria pathogenesis. During this period I had occasion to get expertise in main lab procedures and in the use of analytical instruments. In particular, I have performed genetic transformation of bacteria for the expression of Cytochrome P450, extraction and purification of the protein and I have analysed its activity on substrates of interest through quantitative essays. During my internship trainee in the microbiology laboratory of the University of Turin, I worked on meta-omic analysis of samples from different environmental matrices. In particular, I have learned techniques of extraction, purification, tagging and amplification of nucleic acids (DNA, RNA) derived from environmental samples. I also practiced DNA sequencing tecniques (Sanger, Ilumina, 454 pyrosequencing) and bioinformatic analysis tecniques using R, Python and MatLab.
