Working within a small team on a rotating shift pattern, providing support to production and engineering teams, testing asic semiconductor chips and wafers in an ESD clean room environment. Carrying out preventive maintenance, calibration and repair of gravity fed handlers, wafer probers and semiconductor testers. Assisting with training of new engineers on and off site including site visit to Sensata Malaysia to assist start-up of new production testing environment.- Maintenance and repair of production and associated equipment for Production and Quality / HSE standards e.g. ESD compliant, clean room.- Investigation and solving of problems with production equipment in a high pressure environment, remaining calm in critical situations, using logical fault finding techniques.- Developing procedures, work instructions and Puwer risk assessments for production equipment in line with Quality and HSE requirements.- Providing instruction / training in the correct operation of equipment to operators & trainee engineers.- Performing preventative maintenance on test equipment and tooling. Updating maintenance records.- Producing and promoting work in accordance with the company’s TS16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, IIP, Sarbanes Oxley, Lean / 6s standards- Maintaining equipment spares at correct levels, researching new suppliers and negotiating price reductions to realise value for money savings.
