Independent office ''House of child'' (Child friendly Center for abused children) Athens: Undertaking cases of sexually abused children (at interrogation or pretrial stage), in order to preventtheir second-degree victimization, during the judicial procedures and the repeated testimonies in court.Reassuring – through family evaluation- that the family environment offers safe conditions for the victimand that it will not allow any further assaults. Second step is the child’s cognitive and mnemonicevaluation, as far as her/ his ability to testify is concerned (possible existence of psychiatric disorders ordeficiencies in her/his development process). Forensic examination (that replaces the total of her/histestimonies) based on her/his development status and abilities. Reports for the forensic files and case.

Duties include conducting sessions with detainees, upon which we assess their need inessential goods and proceed in evaluation of each case in order to forward the detainee toauthorized authority (Psychiatrist, Doctor, Asylum Services, IOM, etc.). In addition, incooperation with social workers, we compose psychosocial reports, which are beingassessed by private lawyers and members of other legal services (GCR). Furthermore, weprovide counseling in regular basis to detainees that require psychological support, as wellas managing emergencies.
