  Summer Institute on Medical Ignorance (SIMI) founded by Dr. Marlys Witte is a summer research program hosted at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Witte built the SIMI program to motivate students to learn medical/research related topics based on what they do not know. I have participated in the SIMI program since June 2019. While participating in the program I have been able to be involved in research regarding limb preservation after amputation and trauma to the limbs. I've also been able to study research topics reguarding brain lymphatics and it's contribution to the Alzheimer's disease. Show less

Before entering high school, I found my passion in the hospital setting because of the San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corp.
