In my role in BP’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion, specifically focusing on our STEM outreach efforts, I have had the privilege of working with many employees across the US as we strive to educate, empower, and inspire students in the communities where we operate. Victoria has been an outstanding BP STEM Ambassador and representative for BP. She accepted the challenge and helped grow the program, both internally and externally. During our time working together, Victoria displayed great talents in engaging community, motivating students to follow STEM pathways and promoting BP’s efforts around diversity and inclusion, specifically relating to underrepresented communities. It’s not just her leadership and communication skills that impress me, it’s also her passion and enthusiasm for wanting to make a real social impact. She was a joy to work with because of her amazingly positive attitude and drive to help empower diverse students.

Victoria was one of my first mentors on SPE eMentoring program. She motivated me throughout the time I was looking for an internship. She guided me for a year and even though our mentoring connection has officially ended she has been a person I can talk to about my professional life in a way I really appreciate.

Victoria has a dedication to people. This shows up in her professional career just as much as it does in her volunteering commitments. Collaborating with Victoria has typically meant she is going above and beyond her responsibilities and accountabilities. For example, as I was preparing to lead a design sprint, Victoria ensured the right effectiveness data was fed into the sprint. This data helped to enable the level of innovation to exceed expectations. From the first day I met Victoria she has consistently been like this - taking the time to slow down to ensure you are getting what you need and that what you are receiving is accurate.
