Tori Schmidt puts 100% into everything she does. As Vice President of Professional Development, she has put on 75 Professional Development events. Not only are these valuable workshops like resume workshops, or speakers such as Dave from Experience Grand Rapids, but also scheduling travel to agency tours like DeVos Center, Van Andel Arena, or St Julians Winery. She put together our Annual Regional Conference which included 106 attendees, 4 schools, 6 speakers, and 2 competitions. Tori plans everything to a T and doesn’t take no for an answer. She personalizes her events to make them beneficial to our 14 different majors, which is not an easy task. It has been a pleasure to work with her this year and I can’t wait to see what she does in the future. I would recommend Tori to any company.

I plan and organize events to help members and other students become professionally developed. I provided hands on experience through workshops, speakers, agency tours, and other opportunities outside of the classroom to make members ready for the world. There were over 70 professional development opportunities for our members and 50 of those events I organized and planned. One event including the regional American Marketing Association conference which hosted 120 students from across Michigan and Wisconsin to compete in the marketing and sales competition.
