I am an aide to the athletic trainer for the Virginia Tech Men's Soccer team. I both observe and work hands-on with the athletes to help with rehabilitation and emergency injury responses. I work with a few other students and we ensure that the athletes and our AT have the supplies that they need to work efficiently and healthily. At Go Ape, I was responsible for presenting safety information both verbally and physically to large groups of adults and children. I was trained for a variety of emergency situations and made sure that all guests were properly attached to our system and continuously kept an eye on them. Besides the safety side of the job, I was always a kind face who made sure that every guest was having an enjoyable experience. At Tropical Smoothie Café, I gained skills in money handling through our register system while preforming customer service. I also was responsible for preparing food and smoothies efficiently while maintaining a clean environment. I was constantly multitasking between these tasks and ensured that the restaurant ran smoothly. After a few months of working here, I trained new employees and was given a key that also came with the responsibility of counting the day's earnings and locking up the building. Show less
