Bio
Jen Brown
Victoria is a miracle worker! When she started at Renew we did not have a single consistent system in place: operating very much with a startup mentality (which we were! And were rapidly growing out of!) Victoria came in, surveyed the landscape and situation quickly and started putting in immediate systems and structures that fit with our dynamic of a professional progressive political organization that ran remotely-not an easy feat! Personally, at the time I was dealing with issues that were HR issues at a place with no HR, involving another employee. Victoria listened with care and without judgement and worked through the conflict that began far before she came into the organization, focusing on a solution for all parties. She handled all of this with grace: focusing on the good of the organization which is not always an easy thing to do! Finally-and I’m sure I’m missing parts of her work to ‘glow’ about-she created an intensive employee review structure that was the best I’ve seen in all of my working history, focusing clearly on skills, goals, performance of management AND employee-as well as other employees that worked with the person being reviewed. I would easily work with Victoria again, happily!
Madeline Burkhardt
Victoria is one of the most passionate and enthusiastic professionals I know. She always pushes herself to do more and fully believes in the mission and potential of whatever organization she works for. Victoria knows how to lead well and will speak up if there is any inequity in the workplace. She is intelligent, charismatic, and consistent. Her creativity and flexibility enables her to overcome any challenge she is faced with. Victoria also always forms a connection with those in her workplace and those she partners with. I cannot recommend Victoria enough for any job in the museum, arts, or non-profit sector.
