In the Accounting Department I worked as the sole partial payment collector. I managed accounts and took credit card payments. I was responsible for late payment collection as well as all data entry and records keeping for fines paid to the courthouse. On a daily basis I manage crucial database information, composed of documents/correspondence, and compiling of a Master Balance Report used by upper management. I create, update, and format advanced Excel spreadsheets, using over seventeen algebraic equations in creating complex spreadsheets. My ability to link multiple spreadsheets cuts down on the amount of data entry that is crucial to the position. I perform a variety of clerical duties including coordinating training classes for city employees and maintain records electronically and paper files. I have an extensive knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. I help maintain payroll for the South Plant and complete service tickets in Hansen, a work order database, used by the City of Baton Rouge employees. Streamlining systems and back logging a years’ worth of data for the South and North Plant is one of my major accomplishments. I have also been selected to train a lateral employee from another plant. Show less

• PAYROLL LEAD / HUMAN RESOURCES As payroll lead, I managed and trained payroll team of ten in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans Area. I had Signature Authority to sign timesheets and make important decisions. Before a Quicktime system was used I processed paper timesheets for up to 3,400 FEMA staff within a three day deadline. MY team and I made the transition to Quicktime possible, by implementing training check lists and Quick-time processing procedures for both the payroll team and for the DFTO training staff to be utilized by all FEMA JFO/AFO staff (PFT’s, CORE, DAE’s, and local hires). As the lead I monitored the payroll operations to identify problems or unusual delays, made key decisions to ensure timely corrective action. I coordinated with the Administrative Section Chief and other federal agencies in the first time integration of over 2000 Volunteer and Career Fire Fighters by interpreting FEMA agreements to evaluate the individual pay, travel, and employee status of these employees. I am fully qualified to use ADD database system entering FEMA, and Non-FEMA employee check-in, check-out, change of duty stations, and terminations. Show less
