On a day-to-day basis, I extract data from different data sources like data warehouses, These data are always in a raw form/unstructured format, and I am responsible to structure all these data based on my team's standards. I tend to do a lot of clean-ups on this data set by using column splitting, conditional formatting, standardization, using mid-functions, and date formatting. I use these functions based on the business requirements given to me. And after cleaning up my data, I further digest my already cleaned data into a pivot table, as pivot tables allow a data analyst to summarize clean data simply by dragging and dropping headers to rows, columns, filters, or values to build dashboards and create reports with it. I further insert slicers and timelines to make my dashboard dynamic and interactive to each other. This is how I use my Excel on a day-to-day base as a data analyst. I also have experience using SQL as we know SQL Is a special programming language that allows a data analyst to query information from a database, so I use SQL software to query information from a database, where I perform server maintenance, troubleshooting, gather requirement, using of SQL syntax like group by, order by, wear clause, distinct, in, on, various SQL set operators, like the union to attend two tables together, union hall, the intercept, the except, I also used inner join, the outer join, the serve join, all these syntax I have used to query out information on my data base. After all my analysis has been done, I use power point to write a report in form of power point slides to tell a story on the steps I used to analyze my data. • Supported logical data designs/models by reviewing with Business stewards. • Extracted Data -from various data sources for periodic reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) • Created Filters, table calculations, calculated measures, and parameters on dashboards Show less
