  My current job at No Such Agency involves working on different internal and client-based web projects.The majority of the projects that I am working on are based on the PHP framework Laravel, which provides a great foundation for building web applications. When working with PHP and specifically Laravel, I use techniques such as continuous integration, software testing (feature and unit testing) and software documentation. Just to name a few.At No Such Agency I also work with WordPress. We take advantage of the CMS functionality in order for our clients to generate their own content, while we build the customizations through themes and plug-ins.In addition to working with web applications, I also manage a range of Ubuntu servers hosted at Digital Ocean. Working with these servers has strengthened my abilities in terms of shell scripting, cron jobs, software for Linux and just a better understanding of the Linux OS. I have mainly been focusing on the back-end of the projects, but to some extend I have also been involved in the front-end development. Since the projects are mostly web based I have used html, css and Javascript. For better management of all the front-end assets I have been working with Webpack and Gulp. For all Laravel projects I have been using Vue.js when working with JavaScript. For some parts I have been using jQuery. Show less

  My job at Save the Children Denmark was highly relevant for my studies at the time. I started working at Save the Children during my studies at the Computer Science course at KEA, and I kept working at Save the Children until my second semester at the Software Development course, which also took place at KEA. The work I did at Save the Children focused on both big and small projects related to software development. These projects were mostly brought to life in order to optimize daily tasks. My colleagues did a lot of manual work in retrieving data from external sources, manipulating the data in Microsoft Excel and then importing the data into various storage entities, mainly the CRM. These kinds of workflows were very time consuming and a big part of my job was to eliminate and fully automize them. Nobody had done this work at Save the Children before, which meant that another student assistant and I had to build these automated workflows from the ground up. I also worked on implementing CPR-validation, address validation and other means of validation that was not already implemented in the different import solutions. At Save the Children, I got to work with a wide range of programming languages. Java, C#, PHP, VBA, Python and Javascript. Some more than others, but I really got to try out the pros and cons of some of the major programming languages. At Save the Children I also gained experience in working with customer relationship management systems (CRM). I worked with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Raiser's Edge had an API that allowed us to programmatically perform actions through Visual Basic for Application (VBA) and Microsoft CRM had a very comprehensive API in C#. During the spring of 2016 I was involved in the implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM at Save the Children together with KPMG. KPMG was the main actor in implementing the system and providing assistance for me when developing custom tools and plugins. Show less
