I'm part of the IT Information Services department at SMC Deutschland, developing software for data exchange between internal systems such as ERP or PLM Systems. Most of the time I'm programming in Go, but I also maintain codebases in Python, C# and TypeScript (Vue.js). OSIsoft is now part of AVEVA. I continue to support customers who develop applications against the PI Developer Technologies such as PI Web API (Python, JavaScript, etc), PI SQL Framework (SQL), and AF SDK (.NET Framework, C#). In addition to my previous responsibilities, I became a product specialist for the PI Integrators, our suite of out-of-the-box applications to integrate PI System data with targets such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure. I became a product specialist for the PI Developer Technologies (the PI System APIs and SDKs), helping customers that develop their own applications using: PI Web API (Python, JavaScript, etc), PI SQL Framework (SQL), AF SDK (.NET Framework, C#), among other technologies. My activities included memory dump analysis, and writing applications and PowerShell scripts that help me troubleshoot and debug issues. I was also a product specialist for the Edge Data Store, a lightweight data collection and storage application that can be installed not only on Windows, but also Linux (including Docker containers).I helped the Tech Support frontline on complex cases that require deeper troubleshooting and knowledge of our products, interacted with our developers to document issues, validated and published Knowledge Articles about our technologies. I was a member of our Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS®) Council, contributing to how the company approaches knowledge management. I also mentored new hires on Tech Support, Training, and Field Service. From time to time I participated in company events, usually teaching Tech Labs and other hands-on activities for users of the PI System. Show less

I moved to Germany and started working at OSIsoft's Frankfurt Office in a team composed of people from all around the world. My job was similar to the one I had in São Paulo, but now interacting mostly with English and Spanish speaking customers. I had the opportunity to continue developing my knowledge of the PI System, as well as my language skills.

Jan 2016 - Aug 2018
After my internship, I graduated and OSIsoft hired me as a full-time employee. I went to their headquarters in San Leandro, CA for a Bootcamp. After a couple of months, I came back to São Paulo and started providing tech support for the PI System. I performed Field Services (such as installations) and provided trainings on the PI System (such as the ones I took as an intern), both remotely and onsite. I also participated in events, helping customers with their technical questions. I interacted with people from companies in several areas of the industry, Portuguese and Spanish speakers. Show less

After using software to consolidate data into useful information on my first internship, I got very interested in software and data. I decided to do a second internship, and I was fortunate to find OSIsoft. Now my job was to master the software to help other people better use it, allowing them to make better decisions based on data. I learned a lot about networking and the PI System.

My internship at TAM was my first professional experience. I had the opportunity to work in a multicultural team full of smart and experienced people from several South American countries, who taught me concepts about work that I carry with me until today. My job consisted of consolidating data from several different data sources and transforming it into useful information, to help my team on important business decisions.
