In addition, I have also been involved with testing and commissioning of two new motion based simulators. Employed to manage all aspects of the 32 & 25 foot workboats, and FRB’s assigned to each seismic vessel within the fleet. The duties included managing the company’s small boat training center and verification of the company specific and international recognized procedures for the safe operation of these boats. Along with managing the assets in the fleet including sourcing new boats, verifying that maintenance onboard is being carried out as per the company Planned Maintenance System, and overseeing the major overhaul of the boats during vessel dockings. Employed as a support engineer for the company’s fleet of seismic vessels. Support was provided to both the vessels and superintendents with technical and compliance issues. One of the main duties was to be the first point of contact when technical and compliance issues arose via the use of the companies’ online support and knowledge management tool. Employed onboard various Offshore Seismic Survey Vessels around the world, with multinational crews. Duties and responsibilities were those of both a Chief, Second and Third Mate. An introduction to DP systems was obtained along with good communication skills for dealing with large numbers of persons in emergency situations, and experience in offshore mooring and transfer operations.
