Tiberiu Feredean
Victor started working at Didomi on the 1st of July 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer. Since then, he has shown versatility, technical knowledge, and leadership. Regarding his technical skills, I can vouch that he is a truly full-stack engineer. He has demonstrated that he is comfortable and efficient with infrastructure, frontend and backend. During his time with the company, he has worked on: - infrastructure using Terraform and deployed systems to AWS - a complex use case that required extensive changes in our micro-frontend core libraries - several APIs quickly adapting to the frameworks in use (FeathersJS, NestJS) Victor is one of the most versatile and quick-to-adapt engineers I have ever worked with. He has also consistently shown initiative and actively improved the projects he has worked on. Additionally, Victor has successfully led, architected and delivered one of the most complex features the team has worked on. During this time he has: - independently explored, defined and documented all technical specifications as well as taken into account all possible edge cases introduced by the feature - created a new way of managing the specifications in tickets that has become standard in the team - led the team and coordinated efforts to deliver the feature - coordinated with multiple different teams to ensure the feature is efficiently and safely rolled out He has shown great enthusiasm and commitment throughout his experience at Didomi and has carried out his duties with professionalism and rigor, showing strong motivation and working diligently. I am grateful for his contributions to our team and confident that he has the required expertise, work ethic, and attitude to add value wherever he works.

It was a great pleasure to work with Victor. His contribution to the project was tremendous. He is a highly skilled developer with a lot of knowledge who is also willing to share it with the rest of the group. Victor is also very polite and will be happy to grab a coffee with you to also talk about the weather or what you did last weekend.

Senior Software Engineer

Jul 2021 - Feb 2023
As a member of a core team, we helped others with: - creating shared modules ( terraform and container-based AWS Lambda with SNS integration, ECS modules, Route53 module to manage domains, etc.) - Authorization: refactored together with 3 team members the whole Authorization module to be RBAC-compliant and support using an external S3 bucket to support updates on the fly - Single Sign-On (Auth0 based) and SAML workflow for our enterprise clients. Personally I was responsible for enabling SSO support and led a team to work on this topic. Also, I introduced the use of testcontainers together with localstack, migrated nock to modern MSW, offered building docker container directly in Terraform and introduced a migration guard to prevent committing together code and database migration. Mostly all engineers of my team create on their own Terraform modules required, contact our providers directly (AWS, auth0), create and discuss Requests For Comments about new changes across the whole company.

Software Development Consultant - D-Amp Telematic Solution
-
Jul 2020 - May 2021
The main focus was to build a telematics solution for vehicle models with and without integrated smart car functions. That helps drivers and garage service providers to be connected and be informed about any failure. We designed a mobile app and an API.To support scaling by definition, we took Microsoft Azure Functions as a base for our API. We chose C# 8.0 and Entity Framework and built the lightweight MVC system. To prevent fraud calls and validate credentials, we incorporated Azure API Manager. Keywords: .Net Core 3.1, Entity Framework, C# 8.0, Microsoft Azure functions, Flufer (Dart), CosmosDB, Postgresql, Scrum, Microsoft Azure Api Manager, Microsoft Azure Queue, RESTful API

Software Development Consultant - DCS Dashboard
-
Mar 2020 - Jul 2020
The main goal of this project is to collect the data from machines and visualize it.We designed the data collector as a docker container, that runs on the edge PC with networkaccess and the same machinery network. It stays in sync with the cloud, watching for the shared SMB/CIFS resources. We used React, Material-UI, and Chart.JS to build the frontend.
-
-
Software Development Consultant - Asset-Monitoring Platform
-
Oct 2018 - Mar 2020
This project aims to help medium-sized manufactures to be informed about machinery health and performance within their factories. We built the complete solution from the machine PC, connected to the real sensors, to the dashboard frontend.Challenges we faced:- Design machine PC architecture to preserve the data on network connection loss.We incorporated MQTT and RabbitMQ to achieve it.- Enable rollback and update support for the cloud and machine PC.We decided to use Kubernetes because of health and readiness probes.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is a cloud-based solu:on for threat- and virus- monitoring, gathering an:-virus informa:on across connected hosts. We used Redis as a load balancer for the incoming event stream, captured later on by NodeJS workers. To simulate the event stream, we introduced VMware ESXi and PowerShell scripts to spin up the whole environment. To stay connected to the cloud, we incorporated socket.io and in-memory database on the frontend side. The main focus was to build a lightweight frontend application, that would run on various SmartTv Engines. We were the pioneers, who supported Multiscreen protocol on Samsung Tizen platform. That helped us to sync mobile and Tv playback. Besides development, I was involved in sprint planning and release management, documentation, and customer support. ChronoZoom is an open-source community project owned by the Outercurve Foundation and dedicated to visualizing the history of everything. ChronoZoom bridges the gap between the humanities and sciences using a notion of “Big History” to easily understand all this information. This project has been funded and supported by Microsoft Research Connections in collaboration with University of California at Berkeley, Moscow State University and University of Washington Information School (iSchool), and The Center for Web and Data Science (WDS) departments. I have been working on rendering different media content on html 5 and UI tests, using C# and Selenium
