  At L-IFT, I work in a small albeit very efficient team tasked with comprehensive weekly financial diaries of small firms, which is strongly evidence focused. In our view much development is based on preconceived notions that are not supported by evidence. For each firm, we question these notions weekly and will go all the way to confirm whether they are true or not. If they are not true we endeavour to formulate a validated notion instead.
