Major accomplishments include: • Grew the organization from an annual $250k operating deficit to $100k annual contribution to reserves, and the IAVM Foundation from an annual 230k operating deficit to break even status, with a solid plan for future growth and sustainability based on a renewed mission and message. • Partnered with volunteer leaders to transform the organization from a management board to a Coherent Governance board (c). • Developed a strong staff team with low turnover that consistently achieved 90% member satisfaction scores. • Grew membership 100% (20% a year) to over 5,200, with membership retention rates of 93%. • Created new value- and revenue-producing programs: group membership, global partnerships, hosted buyer, Certified Venue Professional credential, venue management standard, textbook, and safety and security in-house training programs. • Redesigned all communication channels, building a stronger brand (website, magazine, newsletter, blog, webcasts). • Developed major branding and conference strategies to reinvigorate the organization's value to members. • Achieved consistently positive results of 80-90% on overall membership and conference satisfaction scores.
