Project Goal: To identify, audit, and organize all IP addresses in the facility to maximize and increase productivity. ❏ Identified IP addresses of ethernet cables and their hosts using RsLinx. ❏ Educated team members on techniques for finding IP addresses, such as LinkRunner. ❏ Created documentation that contained IP addresses, default gateways, switches, ports, and descriptions of hosts. Project Goal: Upgrade and develop engineering enhancements to 1305 VFD drives in order to evolve the technology and repair broken conveyor systems. ❏ Improved engineering drawings on a conveyor line to represent current conditions. ❏ Analyzed replacement drives for durability and reported findings to team. ❏ Used RsLinx to find the IP addresses connected to the drives and investigated how the drives would affect the line as a whole and how to progress with future obsolete drives. Project Goal: Provide work site with detailed instructions for low frequency technical tasks in the manufacturing enviroment. ❏ Exposed to Fanuc robotics, Panelbuilder 32, VBA, and FactoryTalk. Project Goal: Upload various software applications for the G1 Mass workstation PC to provide a cushion PLC at the line. ❏ Exposed to RSLogix5, RSLogix5000, Panelview1400e, RSLinx, Drive Executive, and ControlNet. ❏ Worked through the struggles of getting Rockwell Software installed and used Kirby Risk to assist in the process. ❏ Learned how to to install ControlNet communication card into a PC and successfully installed drivers. ❏ Created a faster PC compared to the original 1999 PC that was on the line. Project Goal: Assist in the upgrade of light screens on line C1 and G1 to prevent downtime and going obsolete. ❏ Exposed to PILZ safety relays, SICK C4000 select light screens, and AutoCAD electrical schematic and designs. ❏ Located replacement hardware to sustain legacy lines. Project Goal: Improve operator capabilities to trend past data and troubleshoot process issues. ❏ Programmed various functions in FactoryTalk VBA in order to store data and provide operators with more control of past and live time statistics. ❏ Trained electrical engineers on how to troubleshoot using the program created. Project Goal: To save time, create ease, and increase safety of obtaining flowmeter measurements. ❏ Used SolidWorks and a 3D printer to create a trimmer potentiometer for additional resistance for connectivity to flowmeters. ❏ Received training through Emerson on various flowmeters and ProLink III. ❏ Audited all flowmeters and cables in the Wet Wipes department. ❏ Evaluated and taught the Asset and Engineering team about Prolink III, NetScout, and Emerson flowmeter specifications. ❏ Learned to solder and used a multimeter for accurate resistance readings. Project Goal: Increase safety and efficiency of safety interlocks throughout the Beech Island Mill to prevent less injuries. ❏ Audited all safety interlocks, air pumps, and disconnects throughout Wet Wipes. ❏ Developed knowledge and skill for the use of Ladder Logic and PLC's. ❏ Led and taught the Mill Project Development team on the safety interlocks in Wet Wipes.
