Oct 2015 - Dec 2015
After graduation I started my Internship as Political Affairs Intern for the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in London, where I monitored and researched media coverage, prepared press releases, briefing materials, and reports for government ministries and attended various EU & FCO briefings, conferences and meetings on behalf of the Embassy. I had a unique opportunity to represent Slovak Republic and to attend various briefings, conferences and meetings at Foreign & Commonwealth Office, DEFRA and BIS (at that time). For example, in October 2015 President of China Xi Jinping visited Britain and on this occasion I was part of the FCO briefing on the Chinese State Visit given by Mr John Pearson, Deputy Head of China Department. Another great experience was my attendance on briefing ahead of the Trade Foreign Affairs Council (The Council of the European Union) given by Ms Verity Threlfell from Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Unit.
