: I provide direct support to the Chief of the Mental Health Branch as project assistant on all Mental Health Programs, navigate, retrieve/extract/utilize and manipulate information from data sets pertaining to AF Suicides from the DoD Suicide Event Report (DoDSER) to assist the branch chief in developing strategies for improving the AF Mental Health Program, interact with DoD suicide program staff at all levels to understand their unique requirements and assists in developing strategies to support and prioritize those requirements to obtain, validate and share information required for program success, provide additional administrative services to the Chief, Behavioral Health Branch AFMOA on an as needed basis, work directly with the Chief, Behavioral Health Branch. I also assist in ensuring recognition of and compliance with protocol, rules, regulations and courtesies, coordinate conferences by booking hotels, tracking conference participants, maintaining lists of conference participants, designing master schedules for conferences and maintaining working groups post conferences, coordinate as needed offsite events, order and oversee audio-visual as well as other equipment required and coordinate and ensure participants have appropriate lodging, conference space and equipment as required. I receive and disseminate various policy, regulation, directives, and guidance from Headquarters Air Force, distribute programming advice to various organizations within the DoD as well as other Air Force agencies, assist the Mental Health Branch Chief in validating data. A big part of my job includes preparing briefings, reports, bullet papers, or other supporting documentation for Mental Health Branch Personnel as required, maintaining “help desk” skills to answer e-mail and telephone questions from the AFMS.
