Mein Kompass is the idea to provide a guide through the jungle of sustainable living: Local shops, initiatives, events and news are displayed and easy to find. With different features the consumer should be able to find the closest and most sustainble product he/she is looking for through the website. This project was founded at a sustainability conference. Together with my three partners, I went through a design thinking process, presenting the project to a jury from the city of Hannover and winning the first price as most innovative and needed. The first price entailed professional coaching by the consultancy firm "stups Hannover". In the following months we were coached and supported by the team.

The University Maastricht is growing, therefore, a new study facility was opened. I was in the student Team of 4 people, designing and deciding about the needs, purposes and looks of the study facility. The experience working for the University deepened my communication skills as we had to negotiate with different stakeholders. The work itself widened my horizon to more creative fields such as Interior design and architecture. The University Maastricht is growing, therefore, a new study facility was opened. Being a member of enactus added to my understanding of social entrepreneurship. I was introduced to different entrepreneurial methods through which the public fridge project saw its light. Together with 3 fellow students I founded careot. Careot sets up public fridges in the city of Maastricht to tackle the probem of foodwaste, chang the sustainable habits of the citizens and supports homeless people. Building a stronger community within the city was an underlying prupose of the project. As a founder I proofed my creative and entrepreneurial skills as well as networking, teamwork and organising events.
