  I conducted a 3 month-long embedded research placement with Cultural Emergency Response (CER). CER is dedicated to protecting cultural heritage in crisis. My research was for thesis purposes at the Reinwardt Academie and entailed conducting an impact evaluation. My central research question is as follows: how do CER’s heritage preservation efforts impact the affected communities the program aims to aid?
