  • Facilitate research within the centre by writing grant applications, monitoring research progress and reporting research findings through multiple dissemination channels. Work with other faculties at the university and external organizations and institutions to create and maintain cross-disciplinary research efforts and cross-sector research networks. • Work directly with Provincial and Federal Ministries to carry out research and analysis to support policy decisions in the area of technology, accessibility and education • Supervise development and maintenance of Special Needs Ontario Window (SNOW) Website curriculum and content and facilitate education-related partnership with other organizations. • Design, conduct and report on all phases of usability and outcome evaluation including project proposal, ethical review, literature review, needs analysis, instrument design, participant recruitment, data analysis and dissemination for research and development projects of web-based educational software. • Consult on accessibility and usability to other organizations through defined service contracts • Make decisions on how to respond to requests for proposals based on analysis of skills required, availability of resources and fit with IDRC objectives • Develop potential research partnerships and keep abreast of research opportunities and funding programs • Manage personnel. • Plan resources for proposed and pending projects. • Project management for funded research and outreach projects (recent projects: aha!, Outside-In). • Plan and execute training events, community events such as Inclusive A11Y hackathons and the annual Designing Enabling Economies and Policies (DEEP) conference.
