Venkatesh is a UI5/Fiori developer on my team. Our client is a large publically traded utility in the north east. The focus of our current project is to replace an aging UI (2011) with a modern app that provides improvements in call time, is easy to learn, and simplifies data retrieval and updates. The app is in production with approximately 400 users and it is being rolled out to other areas of the enterprise. User response has been enthusiastic. A critical function in the utility space is the creation and dispatch of work orders to field workers. Work orders can be routine work assignments such as "replace a meter". They can also dispatch technicians to life and death situations such as fire, explosions, and gas leaks. We entrusted the development of the UX for work orders to Venkat. He worked closely with the SAP ABAP programmers, designer, interface analyst etc to produce a clean, easy to use, accurate UX. The UX conditionally displays prompts based on the user's access and the order type. We incorporated a GIS map to assist in creating certain orders. There are links to critical online documentation. And there is an interface to the order scheduling system to view and book available time slots. Venkat's approach to the development is very professional and serious. He works to understand the user process and will ask questions about the finer points of the design, often leading to improvements to it. He works well with other members of the team and I have seen him share his knowledge with them.
