A booming startup with diverse team expertise in working with startups and developing biomedical products has witnessed the launch of a few products, with experience in each of their respective fields. Successfully moving ahead in my journey towards achieving the goal of making BIRTHING a safe and comfortable experience for mothers and saving moms and babies. Working full time on developing the product and meeting the clinical and user requirements by incorporating advanced technology and designing the product as per the mechanical standards required and proposing unique device features.

Along with the experience of working in various startups, I was working on starting a new venture that dedicatedly works for women and pregnant women in particular and was keen on making devices that are user-centric and simple to use. During this period I got time to dig into multiple ideas and got to make a diverse team and meet and include advisors and mentors to our team, making us the best choice for building next-generation medical devices catering to pregnant women and newborns. Having done an internship at the very start of my career changed my perspective towards life, job, and work. Also working in a startup, I was able to work on various aspects of product development. After the completion of my internship, I was determined to start my own company, but I was also sure that I needed the exposure and experience of working in startups and developing real-time products, I thus continued working at Heamac as a full-time employee for a better understanding of the startup ecosystem and enhance my network and capabilities to be a better founder. This working experience has not only helped me upgrade my skills but also aided me in becoming a better version of myself. In addition to learning the stages of product development from idea and PoC to MVP and marketable product, I also learned to manage a team, understood the finances and fundraising possibilities.

My internship at Heamac started on a very basic note. I initially started working on DIY projects that can be used in everyday activities. The transition from working on projects in college to working in a startup was really tough but worth working on. I learned the embedded programming software used in products, worked on developing products that included programming, simulation, testing, and debugging, thereby making foolproof devices.

I led a team at the Assistive Technology Labs to develop a working prototype of a unique diagnostic device to detect autism in kids. This was where I have implemented my theoretical technical knowledge into practice and have worked on the devices and had hands-on experience. I was also selected for incubation support from IIIT Hyderabad for my project.
