  I was specifically requested by the managing engineer to work as an industrial electrician as part of their engineering electrical construction team. Within this role I gained a vast amount of hands experience/knowledge of heavy industrial electrical design concepts and installation methods. As part of this department I worked on various small/large scale projects within the entire production facility. I was involved in the electrical planning/design/installation of new heavy production… I was specifically requested by the managing engineer to work as an industrial electrician as part of their engineering electrical construction team. Within this role I gained a vast amount of hands experience/knowledge of heavy industrial electrical design concepts and installation methods. As part of this department I worked on various small/large scale projects within the entire production facility. I was involved in the electrical planning/design/installation of new heavy production equipment construction power systems from the 460VAC switchgear substation feed, MCC’s, transformers, mechanical/electrical grounding, disconnects, high bay lighting and 120/240VAC panels. As well as, PLC layout design/build, I/O wiring/termination/labeling, cable trays and wire ways path design/installation (Panduit, Cablofil, T&B, Conduit, PVC, EMT), cable/connector selection and installation considering environmental condition and applications. I gained a great amount of knowledge/experience with reading/updating single line diagrams and loop drawings, power distribution systems, Ontario hydro code, workplace safety procedures, and arc flash PPE.
