I have worked with Vasant on development of a new nacelle(R&D project) program at Collins Aerospace. It was a futuristic project which needed thorough knowledge about the product and skillset to define the product loading and boundary conditions. Since, this project was in a conceptual design stage, the requirements were ever changing along with timelines for different milestones. In this multitude of challenges Vasant not only delivered the desired output to the stakeholders but he suggest improvements opportunities. Some of the improvements were weight savings on components which are not very critical from loading and stability point of view and suggested changes in composite layups to achieve the desired stiffness and in-turn load path. He is thorough with his fundamentals and has an eye for detailing. It was a privilege to work alongside Vasant which was a good learning experience for me.
