As a Grade Level Coordinator, I have been: -Working with the primary leadership team to set high academic expectations and ensuring that all students are encouraged to maximize their learning potential. -Ensuring student performance is evaluated, monitored and standards are moderated across the grade level. -Presenting an overview of learning needs and successes to the primary leadership team. -Support and monitor effective peer coaching across the grade level. -Manage assessment and reporting. -Working with learning support staff, pastoral leaders & others on appropriate student groupings. -Ensuring all planning is completed for the full implementation of the PYP program. -Liaise with homeroom teachers regarding school trips, assemblies and other events and ensure effective and timely planning of such events. -Dealing with student issues of concern (both pastoral and academic) in conjunction with homeroom teachers and the leadership team in a timely and professional manner. -Managing the budget for the grade, under the guidance of the primary leadership team. -Leading with presenting Curriculum mornings and parent presentations as needed. As a head teacher, my role was to: -Organize a variety of activities both for individuals and group activities namely play, dance, singing, games, arts and crafts which helped children improve their skills. -Plan storytelling sessions for children helped the children to increase their vocabulary and creative thinking. - Make use of audio-visual aid in teaching children so that they could learn lessons interestingly with ease. - Take care of each child individually and attend to their problems in lessons and also coordinated with their parents to communicate about their children. -Observe and evaluate children's performance, behaviour, social development, and physical health. -Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counsellors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioural and academic problems. -Prepare children for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks. -Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling. -Administer and grade tests and assignments to evaluate children's progress. -Supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities. -Conduct a writing program for numbers and letters.
