I started off my career in the travel industry as a driver for 2 years. I drove guests while on tour and gained some experience by being an active observer. I also developed a good sense of customer care. Then, thanks to my English language skills and will, I moved on to a Sales Consultant position at the travel agency department of the company, having to deal with clients in direct: both expatriates living in Laos and walk-in clients. At the time, I was also taking care of some clients in direct who contacted us via our website. Either with requests for Laos-only or also having to combine with regional destinations like Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar. So, I have a good command of the essential destinations and points of interest in the region around Laos.
