Bio
Deanna L.
Vanessa was one of the leaders I’ve enjoyed reporting to the most. She truly approached everything from a team perspective- willing to take feedback, ideas, input, and suggestions from people of any position, level, or seniority. Something I greatly appreciated about Vanessa is that her leadership truly came from a place of mutual respect and understanding- where some leaders assert and lead teams through fear. She approached feedback from a balanced coaching stance- always making feedback constructive, providing examples, and making sure to emphasize your strengths and not just areas for improvement. Vanessa and I shared an acute interest in special projects. Anytime we worked on a project together she was very well organized, viewed things from all directions, and looked for user stories/scenarios and/or data to back up decision making. I feel Vanessa would be a strong addition to any team based on what I have said above, but also because in my experience she exemplifies something that is often rare in leaders or supervisors- she is a great leader in both technical knowledge/skill as well as a great leader of people. A unique mix of hard and soft skills that I haven’t often experienced.

Vanessa was a boss who really cared about our team and their wellbeing. She is extremely hard working and always leads by example. She always provided timely feedback and ensured everyone on our team felt comfortable and confident in their role.
