As the Assistant Commander of the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, my duties included overseeing the day-to-day operations of the division, personnel staffing, managing the legal requirements of the consent decree, and all budgeting issues. I was responsible for managing 323 Sheriff’s Office employees in various classifications including: 6 Lieutenants, 25 Sergeants, 194 Deputies, 1 SROIII, 6 SROIIs, 60 SROIs and 6 Security Officers. I ensured compliance with department policy and continually evaluated and improved the effectiveness of operations.
