Metro Vancouver is both a non-partisan political body and corporate entity operating under provincial legislation as a ‘regional district’ and ‘greater boards’ on behalf of twenty-two member municipalities and one electoral area. The three primary roles are service delivery, planning, and political leadership. • Co-shaped the sustainability imperatives and principles for the Metro Vancouver Sustainability Framework. • Co-developed the Future of the Region Sustainability Dialogues including enrolling the Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade. • Employed as the Researcher for the Planet Earth Pavilion of the Earth Centre. On a 400-acre site in Conisbrough, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom, the Earth Centre was a new £100 million visitor attraction based on the theme of a sustainable future and it opened in 1999 as a Millennium flagship project. The challenge for the Creative Development team was to create attractions and exhibitions which directly involved the visitor in the definition and realization of a sustainable future while having a memorable day out. Planet Earth focused on the key relationship between humans and the environment and visions of sustainability. Show less
