After quickly adapting to the program, I met the needs of each school group visiting the outdoor center. During my time there I instructed technical outdoor skills to participants trying new activities to overcome fears and broaden environmental knowledge. I also demonstrated consideration, fun, and authenticity while guiding participants and participating in each of the activities. As an RA, I lived in a freshmen dormitory to guide and support freshmen to have a smooth transition from high school to living in a college dorm. Throughout the week, I facilitate and organize activities to bring people together to socialize and connect as a community. I also connect with the new students to encourage character and academic development. Over the summer, I work with 15 to 30 girls ages 8 to 17 years old. In each two week program, I work with a team led by the camp director, to design and facilitate recreational activities for the campers. Through challenging outdoor activities, I encourage, guide, and unify individuals to respect and support each other. I have demonstrated awareness in ensuring safety and the well being of campers and staff. Over the summer, I work with 15 to 30 girls ages 8 to 17 years old.
