I led a team of 11 staff collecting 3 different income streams. I managed my team on all requirements from recruitment, development, best practice and how to get results such as supporting those with vulnerabilities. I managed my team on all requirements from recruitment, development, best practice and how to get results such as supporting those with vulnerabilities. My role included training and evaluating performance, on all types of processes from court action to housing legislation. In 2016 the role required the creation of a new team, which I found to be a key skill area of mine. I took into account all elements of creating and leading strong teams, such as the Tuckmans model. This included the development of strong procedures, processes and creating positive team dynamics, which saw quick results and the team were incredibly productive and positive, in a complex area of work. I was also a project manager (following prince 2 methodologies) for a 9 month project in 2015 reviewing homelessness. Project sponsors were director level and the project team were senior managers. The project was hailed a success at project closure. In my overall role I created and developed an internal online training tool (intranet site), and my advanced excel skills helped me to develop some very useful data monitoring spreadsheets. This helped monitor productivity, reporting and KPI's. I’m aware many of the tools I implemented are still used today. My ethos was to follow policy and procedures using a supportive approach. I am happy to have difficult conversations but I believe the approach and delivery, is important to making this successful. Show more Show less

CanDoMK was a charity that aided residents in Milton Keynes who struggled with social isolation for a variety of reasons, such as mental health or alcohol abuse. I helped with occasional fundraising, completed annual bank account checks, signed cheques but most of all when requested supported clients in any I could. This was anything from helping with workshops to improve life skills or giving advice relative to income such as benefits or welfare reform.
